Three words to describe this wedding:
Simple, Delicate, Romantic
Alex and Christine told me they didn’t know where they were getting married. But they knew they wanted to seal the deal with only their closest family beside them. They knew that it would be a moment with meaning, but they wanted to remove the expectations that come along with a big ceremony. They said they might get married in their living room.
So when I arrived at the park with no expectations, I was floored by the location. Alex and Christine’s ceremony took place with a backdrop to die for. Their moment had meaning.
"Looking back now, the wedding was simple, delicate and tasteful.” Christine and Alex said. "Although only fifteen people were present for the ceremony, it felt perfect. There was a calm presence in the air and it was a moment that our family will cherish for the rest of our lives."
Both Alex and Christine come from a Chinese background, and celebrated their vows with 150 friends at a delicious restaurant not far from their home. They took moments to honour their family in a tea ceremony, and to celebrate every guest with a round of drinks and celebrations. We snuck out for a moment, and we took a couple photos. The party went on, and it kept on going late into the night with an after wedding karaoke party.
But enough words, here they are at their finest.
