I grew up in a house that backed on to a few hundred acres of forest. Old growth trees and lightly touched moss grew everywhere. So it should come as no surprise that I love shooting at provincial parks around British Columbia. There's a certain ethereal quality that our forests have, from the lush ferns that hide under towering cedars on the coast, to the Douglas Fir in the interior, rooted to a dry, hostile clay.
Trinda and Brock wanted to meet up at Cascade Falls, a place they shared one of their first dates and their first kiss. It was cloudy and dark, a perfect west coast day in the forest. We got out before the rain came, and it made for some magical moments. Here they are:
